Dubai: Marine Beach Resort: Sandy beach

Luckly my work is just 5 munites distance from this place, for me a nice get away place for an hour lunch break. In the middle of Dubai, if you want to run away from hustle& bustle of the city, this hotel is perfect for you. There is a little bay of white sand and clear sea, beach is very private and quite. But of course would be great to stay in the hotel and relax all day on the beach.

There are a few pools. they are small but that is why it is not so busy, well I was there during the week maybe on weekends (Friday and saturday for Dubai) it might be busy.

You feel like you are in a forest but reality is we are in the middle of the city.

I will do my best o visit this hotel and beautiful restaurants in it as much as possible, it changes my mood and rest of the day is much more energic. There are many restaurants in this hotel but I guess all of them are more busy around 6pm, during lunch I realized just Flooka was open. I tried Flooka and it is a nice mediterranian cusine restaurant, I also tried  Cappana Nuova a few months ago, it is an italian cusine restaurant, I loved it too, you are just by the sea and can hear the waves, I love it !!

Dubai: AND Lounge

I was invited to join my blogger friend at the AND lounge in the Adress Hotel Dubai marina, it is a newly opened lounge and I was very curious about it.

It has great vibe

You feel like you are at your living room chatting with your friends

Every last wednesday of the month they have the battle of piano, this guys are great, you can write on a card which is already on your table which song you would like them to play and you put it on the piano and one by one they are playing it instantly, singer has Amy Winehouse kind of voice, love it.

Africa: Zanzibar: Stone town

January 2015, I had chance to stay in Tanzania and Zanzibar for a few days, Zanzibar is an island which is part of Tanzania but it has its own freedom (semi-autonomous)

First we flew to Dar es salaam city in Tanzania and you can either take little plane or ferry boat from Dar to Zanzibar, we chose plane, shortest plane ride ever 🙂 just 20 mnts.

The room in the Tembo hotel in Zazibar, it is an 300 years old hotel ad it was used as an embassy, a trade centre etc over the years, Zanzibar is an island just between Afrika and middle east and since the old time it is used as a hub for the trade, It was capital of Oman Sultanate in 19th centruy, then British power came by, but first there were Persian power, some indian trade so Zanzibar has many different culture influence.

Walking around in Stone town at the west Zanzibar, you can find spice market here, Omani Sultan planted some spices here and since then they have very nice spice here, I bought vanilla sticks, turmeric, cardomom powder, ginger coffee. If you want a resort holiday and enjoy the white sand and blue sea you should chose a hotel at the east side of the island.

I am at the door of the house where Freddy Mercury was born, it was amazing to see where he was born and I am sure this inspirational island had effect on his amazing songs.

Foroodhani Park, after 6pm this park turns to a street food market, you can find local fish, arabic kabab, indian samosa, afrikan sugarcane juice 🙂 all different cusines and affordable prices well I advise you to bargain if somebody says 80 dollar for 5 shrimps, sometimes they exaggerate the price then you should walk away and find reasonable prices but I dont feel like they rip you off coz feeling like helping Afrikan people at least this way makes me feel good.

Some young people were dancing on the beach with the sunset 🙂

Kids are jumping to sea wit their clothes, they dry and then they jump again, such a free life, nobody cares how you look like, they just have fun 🙂

Sound of the waves

I was at the Flooka restaurant in  The Marine resort&spa the other day, I had nice mediterranean food with the Burj khalifa view. We were on the beach and having nice time as hearing the sound of the waves, it was awesome. I need to come back here for the sunset, I heard sitting on the beach while drinking your cocktail and watching sun set is great.

Turkish Brunch

I am still at Antalya and today we went to Turkish style brunch. It is kind of picnic. You eat outside under the trees but the difference is somebody else prepares your food for you:) Turkish brunch contains lots of fresh jam, nice local cheese, olives, gozleme (turkish pancake), fresh butter, honey, lots of turkish tea and fresh air as you are sitting outside for 3 hours 🙂 you can see Gozleme and chay (tea) in the pic

Chilling day on the beach

I had a nice and relaxing beach day the other day. I like to treat myself once in while:) I was at the Dubai Westin Mina Seyahi&Marina hotel beach, it was nice to read my book while enjoying the cold drinks 🙂 a ferry was passing while I was taking the pic and I think it is a best way to see all busy Dubai coast line with Dubai ferry, if you are planning to visit Dubai, I advise you to take one ferry trip, it shows you Palm Dubai, Dubai marina mall, Dubai creek and some other landmarks that you should see.

Turkey: Antalya (touristic capital of Turkey)

I am in Antalya since 5 days so I was busy with my family and i could not check my blog as much as I wanted. I have born in this city, just left here to go to university for 5 years. I met my hubby here and I made a lot of beautiful memories here. I am very emotional whenever I come back here. It reminds me of my childhood etc. Now direct flights started from Dubai to Antalya, I ll visit my city more often. If you wanna swim you have amazing beaches, in the winter if you wanna ski, just 2 hours drive you are at “saklikent” ski resort, if you want adventure you can visit “köprülü canyon” and do rafting. If you wanna hike you can visit ” göynük canyon”. If you wanna part go to “kemer” .I can keep telling you 🙂 it is the everything city for me. I love to travel and see the rest of the world but no where makes me feel like at home as I feel in Antalya. Now I am an expat living in Dubai, I love Dubai too but not like the way I love Antalya. So if you need any tips about Antalya I ll be happy to help you.
